Teachers will provide a daily schedule based upon a planned theme, which will include both child-guided and teacher-guided experiences that are vital to children’s development and learning. Play will be encouraged in each classroom, as all forms of play promote key cognitive, social and emotional abilities that enable children to live and learn successfully. An early literacy and early mathematics program will be used with each class. Music and Movement classes will weekly specials for 3-year-old and 4-year-old classes. Art, Computer and Library classes will be monthly specials for 4-year-old classes. A lunch bunch hour program will be available for all morning class students from October through May.
Our curriculum will incorporate the liturgical calendar, and monthly themes will include elements of Catholic religious education appropriate for preschoolers. All classes will attend Visits to God's House in St. Louis Church. The Pre-K class will attend First Friday Mass with the school.
Parent-Teacher conferences will be held twice a year, but our teachers and director are available to speak with parents regarding their child as needed.
